Cooper is a St.Paul Minnesota native, his passion for building began at Perpich Highschool for the arts when he built his first theater set in 2003.
In 2009 he started working as an apprentice for Richard Brown at Lamprey Pass, building and installing custom cabinets. During which, he also began assisting Todd Stenson and Heather Keena at Machine Scenic building props and large sets for television commercials. Through Machine, Cooper worked with countless local and national production teams.
In the fall of 2017 Cooper opened his own shop (Studio Number B) in the St. Anthony Park Neighborhood of St.Paul and is now building custom props, furniture and fixtures for his own clients. His skills include, but aren't limited to : woodworking, metal working, finish carpentry, and design.
Cooper lives in Minneapolis with his wife, Lucy Michell, their dog Jolie and their two sons.
